Dan started out in the world of information technology. He had a fruitful 13 year career training and supporting residential structural design software before discovering his calling. In 2007, Dan realized a rewarding career would involve working smaller and more personally with clients: massage therapy was the key.
In December of 2008, Dan opened Alvino Massage in Denver. That was the year he traveled abroad to learn traditional Thai massage. In 2010, Dan left his corporate gig and has been a full time massage therapist since.
For two and a half years, he returned to Heritage College to teach the next wave of massage therapists. In 2016, Dan and his lovely wife Christen welcomed their first child, Gideon. They made a lifestyle choice to focus on raising Gideon. Dan left Heritage to focus on Alvino Massage and spending a lot of time at home playing with his kid!
10,000 hours of professional massage later, Dan knows he made the right decision to work helping people. He still loves the massage industry, helping new people, and hearing new stories.
